Elisabete was born and raised in Portugal, she studied industrial design, and fashion and advertising photography. She started her carrier working for magazines such as Cosmopolitan and FHM, collaborating also with the Lisbon’s Fashion Week.
In 2006 she set up her own studio Nouvelle Photo, where she continued to produce work for magazines and corporate clients as well as develop personal projects for galleries and deliver workshops in studio photography.
In 2008 to further her international experience she moved to Amsterdam and has successfully established herself as a creative photographer whilst also continuing to provide education in photography. Recently she has initiated a major new project taking her around the world to different cultures living with locals and capturing the essence of their day to day lives.
She is publishing her first book and staging several exhibitions around the project, called “Turning the Wheels – Nepal” a study developed with the support of the NGO FoVIN. Part of the profits from the exhibition are going to contribute to help the communities in Nepal.
